About the Company

For more than 15 years , World Vision Afghanistan (WVA) has been working on health , education and livelihood and security problems in the provinces of Badghis, Herat and Ghor to enhance the well-being of girls and boys. At the state, regional, district and village levels, the relationship with the Afghan government is very good, as is the relationship with the communities in which WVA operates. WVA has been working together with the government and the communities in the target areas to achieve its national strategy to enhance the survival and well-being of Afghan girls and boys by building the framework for a better future for them, their families and their communities.

To achieve this, World Vision Afghanistan focuses on five strategic sectors: maternal and child health and nutrition , education, protection of youth, WASH and livelihoods.

World Vision Afghanistan is committed to safeguarding children , young people and adults and expects the same responsibility to be shared by all staff , volunteers and all of its affiliates. We believe that every stakeholder and every member of the communities in which we work has the right to be protected from all types of harm, violence, neglect, harassment and exploitation, irrespective of age, ethnicity , religion and gender , disability or ethnic origin status. WV takes careful precautions to screen out all persons who might attempt to use WV to harm children or adult beneficiaries, or whose past activities suggest an inappropriate risk of such harm. Therefore, in order to ensure maximum security, our recruitment policies and procedures require thorough identity checks and an appropriate criminal record / police background check and disclosure of criminal records prior to employment or involvement with WV.
