The FATP Nurse works in the Nuristan Doab FATP to predominantly manage and prepare Trauma Care Service for Affected patients. He assumes responsibility and accountability for their practice, applying up to date knowledge and skills in caring for each patient and family. He works as a member of team that includes all staff of FATP-First Aid Trauma Post.

The Responsibilities of a FATP Nurse are to:

 

To perform emergency first care if needed
Under direct management of the Project Health Officer the Nurse is responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the provision of quality of trauma and PFA service at FATP:
Ensure the patients triage registration and measurements of vital signs
Dressing and first aid care of injured patients
To stabilize the patient and Facilitate the referral of patients
Recording and reporting of beneficiaries.
Ensure the patients triage registration and measurements of vital signs
Identify patient in need of urgent care and refer them immediately to the equipped surgical center.
Register any patient coming to seek care in the registration book.
Respect the IMC Standards of Procedures for referral and stabilization of patients
Take part to the management of pharmaceutical goods and medical equipment
Recording the relevant information in the patients register book and referral sheet.
Accompany patients to the external referral HF when required

Job Requirements:

Medical Worker (Nursing degree).
least 3 years work experience in Health field specially in emergency.
Excellent verbal and written communication with public.
Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work and deal successfully in multi-cultural environment Good level English, Pashto and Dari speaking and writing.
Preferably with international donor-funded projects, UN agencies or NGO's on relevant programs in Afghanistan.

Preference will be given to female candidates.
