Job Description:

The Job Placement Expert (JPE) will be responsible for LAMP project's overall job placement activities including preparing the necessary documentation, process creation and simplification, maintaining effective contact and collaboration with both project beneficiaries and employers, and identifying possible job placement opportunities in the job market. The JPE will also oversee and implement skill building strategies and career preparation training programmes for both the project participants and the related personnel in the sector.

Key Functions:

  • Assist in finding prospective employers and promoting the process of job selection between applicants / beneficiaries and employers;
  • Conduct outreach initiatives to provide awareness raising job placement for LAMP recipients.
  • Ensure that beneficiaries are screened properly, receive pre-employment training and orientation, and are suitably matched to positions. Contribute in coordination with the Lifelihood Advisor and DCoP to career days, networking & other job information events;
  • Making sure that the beneficiaries' records (new curriculum vitae, educational records, training certificates and other necessary documentation) are compiled, revised, and published within the reporting framework.
  • Identify promotional employers to place the project recipients.
  • Develop a tracking system to monitor job placements.
  • Contract management for life skills and vocational trainings.
  • Develop RFQs and RFPs.
  • Conduct theoretical reviews on the real and expected operation of the project and report it to the con variances and the pros and cons of management.
  • Hold day-to-day phone contact with clients and prospective employers.
    Develop employer-oriented curriculum and training material for capacity building interventions and job preparedness training as per project needs.
  • Keep in contact with managers regularly to consider their desires.
    Aid plan activities such as career fairs / work fairs to attract prospective employers and job placement applicants.
  • Initiate and oversee capacity building and awareness activities for project participants including beneficiaries, community entities and other stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Initiate and supervise team development and awareness-raising events for project partners including clients, civic organizations and other project stakeholders.
    Maintain confidentiality of the project’s data.
    Undertake any other task assigned by the supervisor

Key Relations:

  • Internal: Police. DCoP, Wellbeing Counselor, Market Growth Counselor and Policemen, Field Management, Agricultural Development Advisor, Expert in Tracking and Recording, and other personnel related CARE / LAMP programs.
  • External: local authorities, beneficiaries to the community and members of the community.

Duty Locations:

Kabul + Regular Travels to Khost and Ghazni.

Key Results Expected:

  • Insure job placement of project recipients/beneficiaries.
  • Develop job placement procedure documents/manuals.
  • Providing of technical guidelines and capacity building.
    Provide reports, results, and income of beneficiaries' state.
  • Perform regular visits, and maintain contact with other NGOs, government partners, and the area's private sector.
  • Collects data for the project periodic reports.

Supervise:

Skills development officer/Job Placement officers

Provides updates and stories for CARE/LAMP.

Job Requirements:

Competence:

Enthusiasm for the job, openness to class, ability to work under harsh conditions of land. Willingness to fly as needed by the mission, a self-starter, well-experienced preparation and a strong communicator.

Core Competencies:

Placement of employment, constructive collaboration , teamwork, preparation, monitoring, developing capacities and problem solving

Education:

Degree of University (Diploma of Education, Finance , Business Management and Social Sciences)

Work Experience:

Five years 'work experience with a Master's degree in the relevant field, or eight years' experience with a Bachelor's degree.

Language Skills:

Five years 'work experience with a Master's degree in the relevant field, or eight years' experience with a Bachelor's degree.
