Purpose :

Under the direct supervision of Director General and Program manager of ALO, the Program Coordinator/Proposal Writer will be responsible for building a coordination bridge among all engaged parties of program and developing the proposals for new projects to be awarded. The Program Coordinator will also be required to work from ALO Kabul office, thus He/She should not have difficulty to locate himself in Kabul, while accommodation will be facilitated by ALO.

 

Duties & Responsibilities :

 

  • Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner for developing a new proposal.
  • Attending meetings and identifying opportunities for proposal writing.
  • Editing and revising proposals according to feedback of donor agencies.
  • Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following ALO policies.
  • Coordinating with Finance and HR teams about project cast while developing a proposal.
  • Should be aware of the new formats of proposal developed by the donor agencies
  • Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities
  • Monitor implementation of program policies and practices
  • Work to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly
  • Coordinate program communications
  • Oversee the program budget, including tracking billing, payments and other financial transactions
  • Coordinate interactions/relationships between staff and other program stakeholders
  • Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals.
  • Support and cover program activities as assigned from top management.

  • Afghan National
  • Bachelor Degree (master holders will be preferred) in Social Science, Economics, Public Administration.
  • At least four years relevant experience with national and international NGO
  • To be fluent in writing and speaking Pashto, Dari and English languages.
  • To have knowledge of computer programs (Ms office, internet software’s,)
  • Work in the team and to be flexible, having positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills
