EPD is looking for a Senior Program Officer to carry out the following responsibilities:
- Assist the Director, Deputy Director, and Project Managers in program planning and implementation tasks like coordinating project activities with the provinces, following up on the activities implementation, compiling project reports, arranging meetings, and taking minutes of meetings whenever needed.
- Develop training material or if outsource work with the consultant for ensuring quality development, translation, and designing of training and awareness materials in three languages.
- Attend and represent EPD in government, civil society, and donors meetings and establish and maintain effective cooperation and coordination with all EPD partners and stakeholders to ensure their support for EPD’s mission
- Develop and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements of the project.
- Organize meetings with project stakeholders and donors, taking minutes and reporting to the program management unit and/or Director.
- Prepare budgets for provincial activities and getting approval from finance and make sure they are sent on a timely basis
- Ensure regular communication with provincial staff providing them guidance on the implementation of projects and activities and overcoming any challenge after consultation with a supervisor or top management.
- Writing project progress reports professionally in donors/EPD formats and ensuring timely submission of reports
- Make sure project activities are communicated on time with photos and other evidence with the Communication Unit for timely dissemination of information to all stakeholders including regular updates through mainstream and social media
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Traveling to provinces for project implementation and/or monitoring as well as advocacy activities
- Perform any other task required by the supervisor

Job Requirements:
- Should be at least BA graduate from Sharia, Law or Social Science
- Should have at least 5 years of experience
- Should have an excellent command of English and Dari/Pashto both written and oral
- Should have strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams in the organization and civil society platforms
