The City Manager will have a key role to play in the delivery of the assigned project interventions in collaboration with the assigned officers from Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG). The position aims to increase the economic integration of Afghan returnees, IDPs, and host communities in the target City. Reporting to the Package Manager, the City Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for the execution of project activities in the target city. He/She will supervise the project team in the province, ensure field-level coordination with implementing partners and stakeholders, and monitor all aspects of project implementation.

Note: All recruitments are 100% contingent on funding!

Job Requirements:
  • Master degree in urban planning, economic development, social science, Civil Engineering or Management
  • At least 7 years of overall work experience
    Work in senior advisory or management positions in large CDD/ urban development projects for a minimum period of 5 years
