Daily checking, maintaining and assisting the Database Administrator in the following tasks:

Check alerts logs, Trace files and Listener Logs.
Monitoring running jobs.
Monitoring disk space.
Check and monitoring RMAN Backups.
Check and monitoring the user sessions.
Check and monitoring memory Status, usage and network load.
Check and monitoring Redo Log Status.
Check to ensure that no objects exist in the database with the status ‘INVALID’.
Check and monitoring the performance of database servers (CPU, RAM, SWAP files usage).
Check and monitoring audit files.
Check and monitoring existed users profiles and expiration date.
Check and monitoring Oracle database storage in PR & DR.
Check and monitoring Oracle database synchronization status.
Check tape drive status.
Check servers date and time.

Monitoring the Top SQL Statements.
Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users.
Installing and testing new version of the Oracle/SQL database management system (DBMS).
Developing, managing and testing back-up and Recovery plans.
Provide satisfactory solutions on triggers.
Managing and testing of backup and recovery for Oracle/SQL databases.
Assist the database administrator to recover and retrieve the data in emergency (recovery control).
He / She will work under the guidance of the database administrator to manage the control access privileges and permissions and provide locks to certain authenticated data which is confidential.
Assist database administrator for installation of new databases and customizing of old database as per need.
Monitor Oracle database events.
Provide support and maintenance of existing database code.
Communicating regularly with technical and applications staff to ensure database integrity and security.
Installation and configuration of new database connection and maintenance of existing connections.
Assist database administrator for preparation of database documentation.
Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional.
Responsible to stay after official time until the end of backup in case of need.
Taking backups of database system and restoring taken backups.
Any other duty or task assigned by the line Manager.

Job Requirements:

Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (IT).
Should be an OCA 11g and having at least 2 years experience working on oracle 11g and SQL databases.
Familiar with Oracle database performance tuning , Data Guard and RAC configuration.
Familiar with Linux and windows server 2016/2019 operating systems.
Familiar with Database security, problem solving, database management and database maintenance.
Having ability to work under pressure.
Experience in database development is a plus point.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Hands on experience in dealing with day to day troubleshooting problems to enable error free system.
Ability to work long hours in case of need.
