About the Company

The Asia Foundation is an international non-profit development organization dedicated to improving lives in a vibrant and rising Asia. Our work in the country, guided by six decades of experience and deep local knowledge, addresses five overarching objectives: enhancing governance, empowering women, expanding economic opportunities, improving environmental resilience, and fostering regional cooperation. The Asia Foundation is based in San Francisco and operates across a network of offices in 18 Asian countries and in Washington , DC. The Foundation receives support from a diverse community of bilateral and multilateral development agencies, foundations, companies , and individuals collaborating with public and private partners. We offered direct program funding for $84.9 million in 2019 and distributed textbooks and other instructional resources priced at $7.3 million in 2019.
