DAART (Danish Assistance for Afghan Rehabilitation and Technical Training)

About the Company

DAARTT (Danish Assistance to Afghan Rehabilitation and Technical Training)

is an NGO established in Afghanistan by the Danish People’s Aid (DPA) in 2003. DAARTT is therefore the de-facto country office of DPA in Afghanistan.

The organization is specialized in construction and has built more than 200 schools, clinics and other buildings in Afghanistan, but is also engaged in humanitarian activities, such as construction of wells for drought-hit families and distribution of emergency cash to people in need. In April 2020, DAARTT started up a COVID-19 programme in Faryab province, promoting COVID-19 prevention activities initially among 12,000 families, mainly IDPs and returnees, and distributing emergency cash to the most needy families hit by the COVID-19 crisis. DAARTT is a member of ACBAR, is eligible for funding from AHF and is a member of the Shelter and NFI, WASH and education clusters.

DAARTT is expanding its humanitarian activities and is therefore looking for a qualified humanitarian coordinator to help lead this effort. The humanitarian coordinator is reporting to the Director.
